Dear Friends:

The Science of Mind is a teaching that recognizes that God exists and God is all there is.  And because God exists— as the self-originating cause for all that is — we believe that there is not a spot—where God is not.  We believe that there is a golden thread of truth-- that can be found in all of life, and it is the Omnipresence of God, which is the all good.

We believe there is a body, mind, and spirit connection.  Our teaching is called the Science of Mind, (Practical Christianity) and it is a mental and spiritual practice of the conscious awareness of God’s Presence in our lives.  Our daily practice encourages our use of the mental tools of prayer and meditation.  We teach prayer and meditation and believe that everyone can learn.  Our goal is to have a sacred connection with God in our lives.  We call forth the Christ Presence  --- consciously into our lives, and do our best to practice staying awake to our sacred connection through out our day. 

Religious Science (our organization) directs us to recognize and weave God-- into our busy day-to-day activities.  The goal is to remove false impressions and exchange those false impressions that mirror impotence for power, exchange weakness for perfect peace, and poverty of any nature for the abundant flow of Spirit in our daily lives.  Many of us have held false impressions or imaginings of the ego, that have damaged our self esteem, and separated us from our trust and faith in our creator.  The bible calls these separating ideas “idols”  because they cause us to distance ourselves from the Presence of God.  False idols, perceptions or impressions, cause greater gaps between the awareness that Christ lives in us and through us, and creates fear instead of security in truth.  And then all we see is darkened by what we see or perceive--- in ourselves and one another.  False idols veil or hide the face of Christ… in us — from us--- and provoke a pattern of separating behaviors--- that turn us --- away from honesty—and our good--- living in love – in the Presence of God.  False impressions — are internal forces—that could destroy a nation; an organization; or a relationship.   False impressions—separate us from our brothers and sisters in God. The ego gorges itself on them !!

SOM (Science of Mind) is a teaching based on Universal Principles---and Spiritual Laws --- common to Science, Religion and Philosophy.  It provides a healthy filter — or mental workout through which-- this teaching is expressed.  SOM is based on Universal principles that work our conscience, develops our ability to live and process our spiritual natures in a more sacred, inclusive and humane light, and invests our souls into a more meaningful use of our life energy— Prayerfully.

The realization that God is not only …. out there in all things but we are created in the image of God, and are individualizations of his image and likeness. SOM provides dependable tools to awaken us to – our Oneness with the Creator.   

We honor everyone's path to God.  We realize that there is a golden thread of truth and wisdom in all spiritual teachings, and choose to see God as "Omnipresent" meaning he is everywhere at all times.  SOM gives us an experience of our connection with truth.    Our teaching provides a method for the full realization of how God works in our lives through conscious prayer.
